Wesley's Birthday and Mother's Day 2011

I was lucky enough to stay home with the boys (except Cole, who was in school on Friday) for Wesley's first birthday. We slept in, took Wolfie out to lunch and then Finian surprised me with an early Mother's Day date.




He wanted to replace the hand-made mug had Ithat got broken a little while ago.




For dinner we had a small family gathering with carryout and birthday brownie sundaes.



As expected, Wes was a fan.

After Wesley was cleaned up, he got to dive into some presents. The big brothers were quite excited to play with his new toys.





The next day we met more family and friends at the park for Wes to have one more opportunity to celebrate.


He was so cute holding on tightly to the big boy swing!


And then he climbed up the big stairs and went down the BIG slide with Daddy!







We all headed over to the lake edge so that the big kids really enjoyed feeding the geese and ducks.


Wes and I hung back. Ninja's shouldn't be allowed near muddy lake edges. We headed back and had a snack...




And then it was time for cupcakes!



We did our final celebration with lunch out with Francis grandparents and Pops Cheney.


All 3 boys love playing with the resulting toys!

Sunday followed as Mother's Day and the boys treated me like a queen... we had brunch with Grandma Patti and part of the enjoyment was no pictures to take and worry about!
