I can't wait until this comes home, I want to frame it!
Cole and Finian have been thoroughly enjoying their schools this year. Cole's recent report card has him officially as a "reader" putting him well ahead of Kindergarten goals - he loves to read all of us stories as well as e-mail and text with family and friends. This week the boys both went up to Cole's school to participate in Game Night and had a fantastic time. Cole was skipping and jumping on the way there and said, "It's going to be the most fun night, ever!"
When we got to Cole's classroom his teacher had the most wonderful and kind things to say. The biggest and best compliment was telling me, "If there were any child we could take home, it would be Cole. He's so positive and such a good friend, he tries hard and he just is happy all the time. We love having him in our class!" She also complimented what a healthy eater he is ("He's happily eating carrots and guacamole while I have other kids with Cheetos!") and put the cherry on the sundae by telling me that Matt and I are wonderful parents. Can we have this teacher every year?!
The boys tried to negotiate with the Principal and Assistant to extend Game Night...
Finian did not want to leave. He too, loves school - any school. We had Finian's conference this passed week as well. He is doing great. He's happy and loves his teachers and friends. In particular he loves music - singing and dancing gives him such joy. He's extremely engaged in literature for his age and begs anyone who will listen to read lots of stories.

He does exhibit some signs of being a middle child (poor baby), hes loves one-on-one attention and needs lots of snuggles.

This does not proclude him from being extremely active, or - as we like to call it, being a crazy Fini!

Finian never wants to leave school... but Daddy is such a rock star, he wins...
